Course Description
An excellent course for the person who is new or fairly new to the maritime industry, Introduction to Tanker Operations reviews the history of tankers before in essence, conducting a voyage. In conducting this voyage, all aspects of a voyage will be reviewed, from characteristics of tankers, vetting and risk management, ingress and egress from ports, laws governing the industry, stakeholders, cargo handling, calculations of liquid in bulk, and Worldscale to name a few. This course provides an excellent foundation for those starting their careers or reaffirms the foundation of those whose careers have already begun. Participants will be exposed to practices and verbiage which will directly and indirectly improve their company’s bottom line. And all participants will receive a comprehensive course book replete with examples of clauses and on point US and UK legal precedent.
